Lower Keys Exploration Van Tour

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23
Map of Lower Keys 7:00 am - 5:00 pm ($90)
Leader David Simpson

Birding along the roads of Big Pine and No Name Keys will give us our best look at the small and endangered Key Deer. These islands should also give clear views for migrating kettles of hawks and flybys of White-crowned Pigeon. A stop at Boca Chica beach for our best chance for a variety of shorebirds. Then heading south to Key West to the bird famous Ft. Zachary Taylor State Park. It has a variety of habitats which should be good for migrating warblers, possible Thrushes and Grosbeaks. Other stops include Sugarloaf Key and Indigenous Park
